The Slashers 1985

The Slashers return to 1985 when gore went direct-to-video. Paul from The Countdown, Megan Kearns from Spoilerpiece Theater, and Jason from Binge Movies slash through Murderlust, The Mutilator, The Hills Have Eyes Part II, The Ripper, and Blood Tracks. Season 2 of The Slashers slashes into the second half of the ’80s! An era when the sub-genre got gorier, campier, and more unhinged than ever. From cult curiosities to infamous sequels and the rise of new horror icons, our Blood Pools dig into everything from sun-drenched slash-sploitation to chilling suburban nightmares. Expect deep cuts, forgotten oddities, and some of the wildest Final Girls, killers, and kills the decade had to offer.

The Slashers Epilogue

Join Jason of Binge Movies, the creator and brains behind this limited series podcast, Megan from Spoilerpiece Theatre, the heart and soul of the series, and Paul from The Countdown, the equivalent of the series' immune system, as they come together one final time to reflect on the golden age of the Slasher sub-genre, 1980 to 1984.
 
In among their musings on that long ago time, the hosts give their overall season awards for a range of fun categories including: most athletic killer, most likely to write a best selling memoir, assessments of what type of killer each of their co-hosts, and of course best and worst film that has been covered.
